General Digital Amp Information

Gilmore Audio amplifiers have exceptionally low intermodulation (IM) distortion and harmonic (TD) distortion. The Raven produces 250 watts per channel, while the monoblock Raptor is 500 watts per chassis.

All Gilmore amps have very low RFI emission. They also feature very low output impedance, wide frequency response, very high efficiency, and wide dynamic range.

These digital amps are so efficient, they pull essentially no power unless music is playing. Even at high power levels, the chassis remains cool to the touch.

The Gilmore Digital Amps are built like a tank, made out of machined and sealed half-inch T-6061 aircraft aluminum. Impervious to dust or dirt, they can be installed anywhere. The units are built with high quality composite feet from EAR, providing measurable dampening.

The amplifiers use only the highest quality connectors. That's why Gilmore Audio uses Cardas connectors exclusively.

Gilmore amplifiers are balanced, analog input Class D, resulting in unsurpassed resolution. They are analog in and out so they are not constrained by any current digital standards.

Additional features of the Gilmore Audio amps are:

  • No Clipping (no damaging square waves)
  • Exceptionally phase-accurate (maintains impeccable phase coherency)
  • No analog feedback
  • No coupling capacitors
  • Amplifiers use a huge toroidal transformer in the power supply, providing twice the power the amps actually need.
  • Gilmore amplifiers have a high/low gain switch to better match your preamp.

Amplifiers are available with rack mount front panel at no additional charge. Black anodized aluminum is standard and other anodized colors are available at additional cost.
